Sony World Photography Awards
My view about entering photography awards, this time it was the Sony World Photography Awards. And is it really possible to compete in photography. Also, what does I as a photographer learn from entering photo contests.
Let’s protect the sea while it’s still there – and we’re still here
My underwater photographs that I took in Amed, East Bali this spring and it’s also my contribution to Aquatech Image Solutions contest “The Life of a Water Photographer”. And some notes of what made me feel completely connected to the whole world.
I’ve been traveling again. From Stockholm to Norrbotten, to Sagres in Algarve, Portugal and then back to Norrbotten again. My personal guide and reflections to what I liked to do in Sagres illustrated with my photos, and of course, surfing and cats.
I’ve finally gotten to set up my web shop on Shopify, starting small with three products but will be adding, and removing the store.
I think I’ve figured it out
Reflections about my travels and photography during the pandemic. And if, and why, I might have PTSD and life in general. Also, photos to two photo exhibitions.
Things I take for granted
Maybe I have a bit of coming home blues or, I don’t know but I miss living close to the sea where I can take surf photos at Tanah Lot, which is one of Balis most famous temples.
I visited The Blanco Museum here in Ubud, Bali and found it to be most inspiring. Like I usually do when looking at paintings since that’s where I learned the most about photography.
A short appreciation post to the most photogenic subject there is, water! And of course, big thanks to all surfers who help me make the photos more interesting.
It was a beautiful morning
What I did this morning. Yes, went out and took some surf photos. Amazing waves. Some thoughts about how I function while taking pictures.
The one that got away
Some photography advise, some photo editing confessions and an apology. And surf photos from a lovely April morning here in Bali, Indonesia.
