Green is a calming color

A lot of my free time at the moment I’m sitting and watching the apples growing on my apple tree. Right now, when I’m super busy I find it so calming and refreshing to just sit on my porch and watch the apples growing on my apple tree. In color therapy green is used as a calming color, but it can also be stimulating if it’s closer to yellow. Usually I’m all about the color blue but at the moment, when I’m a bit stressed out, green is so nice. And in some languages the word for blue and green are the same. Didn’t know that but it makes sense to me. And I love both colors.

When I moved in to my house it was a dark and rainy October followed by a snowy winter, all the time I was watching the tree wondering what kind of tree it was. Up here in the north of Sweden most of out trees are birches, firs and pines. Of course there are other trees but those three are the most common. The Arctic Circle are very close to where I live and the tree line are not far away. I was sort of hoping that it would be a magnolia tree, apparently it is possible for them to grow up here too. But it’s very unusual. In the spring I saw the tree blossoming and realised it’s an apple tree. I bears fruit too! And apple trees here are rare, most types can’t handle the climate, but some can. Like my apple tree. The growth season here is very short but since we have the midnight sun and it never gets dark in the summer the season is very intense. In the south of Sweden they are common and bears fruits. I’m not even sure I’ve seen an apple tree up here in the north, but now I’ve got my own and it makes me happy and relaxed just sitting watching it. I’m hoping I’m around when the apples are ripe so I get a chance to taste the fruits too. And who would have thought that I would have my own apple tree. Not me anyway ๐Ÿ

      20. I realized what you were referring to some hours later. Iโ€™m a bit slow sometimes ๐Ÿ˜น but Iโ€™m thinking the cows poop anyway so why not on the bingo field. Also, if they are cows that are out on a field itโ€™s not like the cows that are kept indoor all the time for mass production of food. Itโ€™s cows that are living like they used to do in earlier times. Nowadays when the meat is still cheaper than ever before, and at least in Sweden people are drinking more milk than ever, the keeping of cattle is an environmental problem. But itโ€™s not the cows fault ๐Ÿ„ back in time up here in the north families didnโ€™t have many cows, just one or two. And they helped to feed the families and, in the winter they were kept inside the house to help heat the homes. But I guess we canโ€™t turn back “progress”. And no, playing bingo with cows, you donโ€™t have to have contact with the poo. But. The poo can be used in many ways too. Which Iโ€™m not going to get into. Now ๐Ÿงฑ

      21. Hahaa, don’t worry, you’re good; that’s just how communication goes on the internet sometimes.

You sold me, bingo on the field with cows is quintessential, especially when played in Sweden the way that it’s meant to, but only if my Helena is playing hahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

I embrace the points that you made and the situations you pointed out ๐Ÿ™๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜ƒ. You correct about the contrast between the cows out in the wild and the ones that are on farms and factories most of the time ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ. There is certainly an environmental concern where ever there is an “industry” involved but I am intrigued to hear how it was a practice to keep cows indoors in the winter to help heat the home — I have never heard about that before lol
