A lot of my free time at the moment I’m sitting and watching the apples growing on my apple tree. Right now, when I’m super busy I find it so calming and refreshing to just sit on my porch and watch the apples growing on my apple tree. In color therapy green is used as a calming color, but it can also be stimulating if it’s closer to yellow. Usually I’m all about the color blue but at the moment, when I’m a bit stressed out, green is so nice. And in some languages the word for blue and green are the same. Didn’t know that but it makes sense to me. And I love both colors.

When I moved in to my house it was a dark and rainy October followed by a snowy winter, all the time I was watching the tree wondering what kind of tree it was. Up here in the north of Sweden most of out trees are birches, firs and pines. Of course there are other trees but those three are the most common. The Arctic Circle are very close to where I live and the tree line are not far away. I was sort of hoping that it would be a magnolia tree, apparently it is possible for them to grow up here too. But it’s very unusual. In the spring I saw the tree blossoming and realised it’s an apple tree. I bears fruit too! And apple trees here are rare, most types can’t handle the climate, but some can. Like my apple tree. The growth season here is very short but since we have the midnight sun and it never gets dark in the summer the season is very intense. In the south of Sweden they are common and bears fruits. I’m not even sure I’ve seen an apple tree up here in the north, but now I’ve got my own and it makes me happy and relaxed just sitting watching it. I’m hoping I’m around when the apples are ripe so I get a chance to taste the fruits too. And who would have thought that I would have my own apple tree. Not me anyway 🍏
