Coxos rocks

I’ve noticed a difference in my surf photographs. I no longer solely focus on photographing the surfer, or even the wave. I want to capture the beauty of the surroundings since they are a big part of my experience while taking pictures.

Surfers heading out at Coxos.

Like when I was in Portugal this last September. The Portugeese Atlantic coastline is the most dramatic place I’ve ever visited, steep cliffs just dropping into the sea where the seafloor also is made out of rocks. Water and stone.

Jonas Axel Wolther doing a smooth exit while Lars Jorde is wathing from the other side.

Me, who is usually scared of heights aren’t afraid there, I just climb those hills and go as close as I can to the edge to stare down into the sea.

It worked like a charm hahaha. Fantastic pictures; those waves are providing an enjoyable time for those surfers and the beaches look incredible πŸ‘πŸ˜‚

      • Hahaha yup it’s definitely not going to be a breeze having to be on the rocks 🀭🀣🀣.

It’s probably a much better time being a surfer and catching some waves or actually being in the water, but you were determined to take some photos and whatever you did, payed off πŸ˜‚πŸ’™
