A very short “Hello” from me. I’m still here. And, like in the photo I’m coming up for air. A photo I took in the most amazing pool in Cretya, Ubud, Bali where you can go swimming and have a beautiful view of the rice terraces. They also have a waterfall there, that’s where I took the photo. Close by there’s a place where you can take those photos where you’re sitting in a swing and you’re swinging above the rice terraces. And now it struck me again, I’ve been to amazing places and done spectacular things. Something I could not imagine when growing up in the north of Sweden. But it’s possible.

I’ve been, and I am, still super busy. Hoping to go swimming soon and enjoy the summer in Sweden. It’s been some intense past months, but I think I see the surface. And that, is enough for today.

      Yes, I’ve seen some amazing things. Just a small correction, it’s not Crete in Greece. But, I’ve been there too 🤿😹 the place that’s also a restaurant is called Cretya and is in Ubud in Bali, Indonesia. Or, has auto correct been “correcting” things again 🫣

        What might be even more confusing for auto correct is that I switch so often between English and Swedish. And places all over the world thrown into my blog posts. It’s like Google that assumes I want my search results in Swedish even if I do the search in English because the results are usually so much better 🙄🤫🤔

        Exactly 💯😃😃, I couldn’t agree with you more about the similarities of google’s algorithm and the auto correct LOL. That is surely a real concern considering that your site is all about introducing people to new places, cultures and things like that.

        Oh there are so many threats to nature, people and land. Like The Maldives for example, their old culture and all the islands might disappear if not something is done very soon. Going to write more about that in a blog post I’ve been working on forever 💻

        Yes these are significant issues 💯. Situations like the Islands in the Maldives disappearing due to erosion or rising sea levels, is like “nature taking it’s course” and these types of ecological transformations happen from time to time throughout earth’s history. But the environmental impact that humans have on landscapes, wildlife and even on ourselves, is a whole other kind of problem 😅⚠‼.

        Well yes, but the Maldivian culture and islands are old and to imagine that all of the around 1200 islands would disappear is incredibly sad.

        Yes, that would be an incredibly irreplaceable loss 😟. Lets hope that they stick around for much longer than we think and we can be careful not to contribute to the acceleration of their dwindling 🙏🙏😇.

        Yes, there are sooo many islands in The Maldives. Around 200 of them are inhabited, and some of them are very small. But still, they should not be drowned by the sea. Actually, I think that, the Maldivian government have made an petition to the world to help with the effects caused by climate change.

        Great 👍 it’s good that people understand that the environmental problems the world are facing has to be solved on a global level and not to dismiss it as a local problem for example in countries like Bangladesh and The Maldives who are experiencing flooding due to climate change.

        I agree, we should all care about the environment but alot of the instances that are used as examples of climate change just seem to be hysteria 😅🤔😄.

        Sometimes when you actually look into the history of the circumstance, many of these areas have already had a long long histories of being affected by severe flooding or drought (in some instances). It’s just that people make the situation more of a “mess” by the manmade things they “add” or “remove” (old cars, darlins being clogged etc etc) but it’ snot an indication that the natural earth’s climate itself is necessarily changed.

        But I do agree that things like wastage of water, food, deforestation, and other issues like throwing plastic or manufactured objects into the ocean that can trap or poison marine life and damage the reefs etc, are real problems.

        Indeed it is. Sometimes people treat the seas, rivers and lakes like their own trash can and throw their waste there. Which is really a government problem because there aren’t any places to dispose of garbage. And then it just goes on and on. It’s really terrifying that humans have almost managed to destroy the earth in one century. Let’s just hope that the damages, done to the earth, are reversible 🤞

        Yup, you nailed it 🔨👍😆. I also second your closing sentiments and would add that there is no doubt that, with humans out of the way, nature will rebound at an exponential rate 🎋🍃🪸🌊💨🌳☀🙌☺️. Nature can take care of itself, so all that needs to happen is for more responsable and environmentally conscious habits and mindsets to become more prevalent 💯✌️✌️.

        I just meant that without the damages that humans are doing, nature would sort of “replenish” itself when it comes to certain things.

        But you are totally right, we really don’t want to contribute to destruction on the environment that is irreversible 👌💯😄.

        Well, I think that nature would benefit if humans were out of the way. Literary. But, that would also be really sad. And, just a little info. One of my favourite songs, I’ve got many, are “Astro Zombies” by Misfits. Look up the lyrics if you’ve got time. I sort of agree with them 😉

        Don’t get me wrong. I did mean nature would do very well with humans out of the way literally, but I didn’t mean “out of the way” because humans destroyed themselves or anything like that. I just meant humans having alot more respect for nature and not damaging it so much lol

        According to what I look up on wikipedia today:

        “A café is a type of restaurant which typically serves coffee and tea, in addition to light refreshments such as baked goods or snacks. The term “café” comes from the French word meaning “coffee”.”

        So if “Cafe” doesn’t fit the description of a place that was used as an expression for coffee in older times, I have no idea what will 😄. Unless you are specifically referring to something of Swedish origin 🤣🤣

        Guess again and I’ll give you the answer. Oh, I’ve not been to Bangladesh yet. But, I’ve met people from Bangladesh all over the world both here in Sweden and lots of Bangladeshi are working in the Maldives. And of course, Bangladesh is close to India where I’ve spent so much time. But today I realised that the best marketing for a country is probably its people. At least for me, if I meet some nice people from a country I’ve never visited I usually become curious of the country and want to visit.

        That’s so cool, and what you said is very true — Bangladesh is yet another place to put on your list of travel and adventure 😆🤟🤟. It’s fantastic whenever we meet awesome people from places that we don’t really know about 🗾🌏👍😄. It’s an enticing and exciting feeling plus you can learn alot of interesting things about the cultures that only people who actually live in them would really understand and be able to give you priceless knowledge of 👍☺️💙.
