Sign of the Times

“Sign o’ the times mess with your mind. Hurry before it’s too late”

Paix and pax are French and Latin for peace. Something the world needs the most right now. Watching, and reading, the news I hear about conflicts, and attacks, all over the world. My home country, and the rest of Europe, are mobilizing. It feels like the development of the world is going backwards instead of forward.

The quote above is from the Prince song “Sign of the times”. It’s my most loved one of his songs. “Hurry before it’s too late” is what I’m feeling right now. We have to hurry to stop this madness before it’s too late. Whole countries are being destroyed, and human lives are wasted like it means nothing.

I took the photo above one beautiful afternoon in Stockholm in April. It was an event called Kulturnatten which was happening. Kulturnatten means that a lot of cultural institiutions are open late and free for all. This performance happened outside The National Museum and are two female artists Eva Pagmar and Maija Eloranta who call themselves PRZ. I’ve submitted this photo to The Independent Photographers monthly contest and online magazine, in hope of more people realizing the need for peace.

And, I will show more of this beautiful spring afternoon in Stockholm. But, during my absence from here, my backlog have gotten even bigger. The beginning of this post might sound depressing, but we have to be aware of what’s going on in the world.

Fortunately, there are amazing and beautiful things still going on, like this afternoon in Stockholm and so many people gathered and enjoyed themselves and the culture that was offered.
