It’s alive!

My marketing banner for my webshop done with Adobe and my products in my Shopify store. Inspired by my travels in Bali 2022.
My ad for my my first products in my web shop.

Well, finally I’ve come around to setting up my shop! Been working on it all day. Or, I’ve been working on it for these last years but there’s is a lot to consider and organise. It’s not by any means final, and it will most probably change form a lot. But, I’ts there! High five to me!

So far I’m selling a drawstring back pack which is one of those things I find really practical when I’m traveling, going to music festivals or out taking photos because it takes up no space at all in my luggage and it’s lightweight when I’m carrying all my other stuff. And, I can use it for seating too. The other products is a iPhone case, I drop my phone a lot and sometimes when it’s not behaving as it should it has been known to fly and then bounce off a sofa and onto the floor, and it’s important to protect your phone, especially mine. The third product is a laptop sleeve in neopren. I just love that material, not only because it’s what wet suits are made of but it’s warming when it’s cold and it keeps the computer dry when it’s raining, and of course it protects my laptop while traveling.

So, there’s thought behind my first products. It’s things that I like myself, and I’ve ordered them for myself too and it’s adorned with a print I made when I was in Bali and I love what I made, and already have a pair of custom made Vans in that print. I might add shoes to my shop too πŸ˜‰

And, the address is: helenatheworld.com

And there’s a link in the menu bar too!

  1. Congratulations and success in your venture! Surely you will reap with your effort and good taste! A warm greeting.

    • Thank you so much! It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and have been collecting material and stuff but never felt really ready but then I thought “why not do it today?”. And then I did πŸ˜‰

  2. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  3. Hahaha πŸŽ‰CONGRATULATIONSπŸŽ‰ on your lovely endeavor. I understand what you mean that you were actually working on it for years; you were working on it for a while but it was recently that you were finally able to get it launched πŸ™ŒπŸ₯³πŸ₯³. I am happy to see your first step and that one of your dreams is coming through πŸ’™πŸ™πŸ™‚.

When you said “So far I’m selling a drawstring back pack which is one of those things I find really practical when I’m traveling”, this is very noteworthy because it shows that you are using your actual experience to promote things that may offer many people the convenience and solutions to issues they also deal with when traveling, as oppose to the car-salesman marketing that actually tries to convince people that they need something that is completely irrelevant or not all that it’s chalked up to be πŸ‘πŸ€£

    • Thanks πŸ™ you sort of get what I mean by working on it for years, but not really … you see, my thought process is like I collect lots of information, try out some things and then my brain does the work without me actually being aware of it. I just put in a lot of stuff (information) and then something comes out when it’s ready. It’s not really an actual touchable process. But thanks for the cheers, I appreciate it!

      • Got it πŸ’―πŸŒΉ. I am happy that you appreciate the comment and I cherish your enlightenment πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’‘.

πŸ˜†πŸ€— Allt gott till dig. Det Γ€r vackert att se ditt hΓ₯rda arbete fΓΆrvandlas till vΓ€lsignelser ☺️✌️🌷

(I pulled out google translate 🀣)

  4. Hey πŸ’™πŸ’™. I was checking out some of your beautiful presentations and some of the links to your content on other sites, but the Instagram one isn’t working πŸ‘ (or isn’t linked lol) .

    • It seems to be working. At least for me, it’s linked to my main account helenaisthlm. But in order for you to see it you have to log into your Instagram account. I’ve got two smaller as well one is HelenaAndTheSea, where I’ll probably put up some prints and the third is Helena The World where I’ve got my products in my web shop. It’s a work in progress but I think to present myself as a photographer helenaisthlm is the best account. It’s just that Instagram thought I was Russian for three months in Bali that made me start the other accounts, but now I’ve got plans for them too πŸ˜‰

      • Yes I realized most of the things you said — thanks for the heads up πŸ‘πŸ˜„. The link is indeed working — I actually clicked on a wrong URL in my browser at the time, so it was a mistake on my end. When I actually followed the correct URL, it actually worked. I wanted to tell you that but I did not want to send anymore comments because I am respectful for your time. I hope your plans workout πŸ’―πŸ’•β˜ΊοΈβ˜ΊοΈ

    🀣🀣🀣

Sorry for the extra post, I just thought that was pretty funny haha

    • Well, sometimes the phone gets airborne πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ depends on what kind of pockets I have on my clothes too. Once I was on my way to work and was going to change the song I was listening to and noticed that my phone had fallen out and was on the other side of the street. That’s also the moment I noticed how good bluetooth earphones had become. I the beginning they were really crap and picked up everything and nothing πŸ˜‰

      • When I read that part that I had quoted originally, I thought you meant that you thew the phone at times out of frustration 🀣🀣. But you have put everything into perspective with this comment and I thank you for that βœŒοΈπŸ’™πŸ˜†.

It’s funny that you mentioned bluetooth earphones because recently I decided to get into the bluetooth fun myself πŸ‘πŸ˜‚. But for me it’s because I wanted to level-up and leave the issues of wires and cords and having to replace earphones and headphones ever so frequently because somehow the cord or wire has a “shortage” and ultimately stop working LOL.

I have been meaning to do a short blog post about it but I haven’t yet πŸ˜„πŸ˜„.

      • Well bluetooth is convenient and much better than it used to be. Since I’m one of those people who like everything that’s new I started waaaay back. But at that time Apple sort of blocked third party providers so if you didn’t like the Apple ear phones, like I did because they kept falling out of my ears, the quality of the transmission was bad. And I’m not making this up, there’s been a court ruling in France about it πŸ˜‰

  6. Hi, have you seen a lady that goes by HelenaAndTheSea?; she is well traveled and well spoken, and last I checked, was tied of shoveling snow and even far more tired of me πŸ«’πŸ˜†.

If you see her, send her all my best wishes and all that good stuff πŸ‘πŸ™πŸ˜„

    • Sorry, been MIA again. Been in Paris for a couple of days at a furniture and objects fair among other things. On the night before I was going to leave I got a stomach bug, so no walks along the Seine on that evening even if the weather was super nice. But I’m here, being busy and also tried this thing of relaxing, running and went back to the place where I learned so much about photography. Have photographed two roller derby games. So now I’ve got 1000 more photos to look through πŸ™„πŸ₯³

      • Hahaha wow not one but 2 roller derby games; I know you probably liked the games but as you said I can imagine how much work you have to do as a result. The furniture and objects fair sounds like it was a cool event and I am sorry to hear about the stomach bug that you had. I appreciate your apology but you have absolutely nothing to apologize about, you do not owe me an explanation (although I really did appreciate it πŸ₯°β˜ΊοΈπŸ’•) and my comment was just about saying hello to you but making it interesting lol. I love that you are ok otherwise.

  7. Congratulations with your website / webshop and thanks for showing interest in my photography blog. Kind regards, Rudi

Yes I know that you really wouldn’t tell tall-tales about this kind of stuff πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜†.

Interesting to see the timeline and thanks for your insights βœŒοΈπŸŒΉπŸ™‚πŸ’—. The earbuds falling out is definitely an area of concern and I was thinking about upgrading to the ones with the hooks at a later time since the ones I have are very standard, but for now they are still a huge overall improvement over the shortcomings of the wired ones that I was typically using πŸ‘πŸ˜‚.

Bluetooth was never on my radar as much as other kinds of technology that I use, but taking into account when you said about its problematic past, I am glad to see that I have joined the club at just the right time when things aren’t so bad with the technology as it were in the past hahaha. I am mainly using windows devices which I have always mainly used since but I will certainly not miss the headphone or the earbud “not working” because the cord was flimsy and damaged too easily LOL

    • They are super convenient! I started using them so long ago when I actually had to plug in a receiver into my old time big stereo, very good when you’re vacuuming and want to shut out the noice. Also, nowadays when I’m on my bike. I know, your not supposed to uses earplugs when in traffic but it’s makes cycling so much more fun. I like Beats by Dre, since they have a cord connecting the two earbuds then you don’t lose one and it becomes useless, but they’re a bit hard to come by in Sweden. The thing with Apple ear buds is that you have to keep track of three things, the case and both earbuds. I’ve dropped them many times, once inside the iron frame of a Sri Lankan train seat. Fortunately found it! Oh, I could go on and on about this but, got things to do πŸ‘‹

      • Hahaha you definitely have things to do; thanks for sparing some of your time πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ˜„.

Exactly Bluetooth is very convenient and before I got my earplugs, I was looking at some options on the store and saw some of the wireless ones that had the cord that you are talking about that prevents you from losing them if they slip and fall out, but I didn’t realize what the cords were there for at the time and was confused that a “wireless” device actually had “wires” because it looked as if the wires were essential for powering the earbuds which would have still lead to the same issues that I was trying to finally leave behind, but now thanks to your lovely comment, I am enlightened hahaa πŸ‘πŸ˜†

  9. “Yes, they’re more practical if you don’t like to keep track of many pieces πŸ˜‰”

Hahaha very true πŸ’―πŸ€. I will keep a that in mind; I need to prepare myself for when you release your future videos and audio books πŸ“½πŸŽΌπŸŽ§ — can’t afford to skip a beat because I can’t find my earpieces πŸ‘πŸ˜‚
